A Chinese King is coming back - MOKEY KING RELOADED -

Based on the 16th century novel Journey to the West, (one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature) Monkey King movies  have come out in many adaptations from China to Hong Kong through Japan. Most memorable adaptation still remains the 1960s classic cartoon Monkey Makes Havoc in Heaven also translated as Uproar in Heaven.

Now a new cgi adaptation is communing out from Media Asia making it its first English-language 3D animated film.

Monkey King Reloaded (the title of the new movie) is directed by Felix Ip and Paul Wang of Hong Kong-based Unicorn Studios, the former production team of Imagi Animation Studios that previously brought us Tmnt and Astro Boy

The story takes place in New York City where a Sichuan zoo monkey travels to rescue a human friend endangered by a maleficent plan of Demon King.

Seen what these guys have done previously, this new adaptation will be definitely worth it to watch.

Fun and cool action is their trademark... looking forward to this...

The animated comedy is expected to see a release before the end of 2014.
